Cost for 2026–27: about $325–$450 for the year (fall and spring together). The exact amount is set before the June try-outs, and it goes up with age. The uniform is bought separately.

What you pay for

  • Tournaments: most of the fee pays for tournament entry, so there’s no separate fee for each tournament.
  • Rec soccer: U9 players are signed up for rec automatically, at no extra charge. U10 players can choose to play rec too, also at no extra charge.
  • Extra tournaments a team chooses to enter are paid for by that team’s families.
  • The uniform is separate. See Uniforms for what it costs and where to buy it.

Paying the fee

LSC United offers payment plans over six months.

Help with the cost

We don’t want cost to keep anyone off a team: payment plans and help with the fee are available. To spread payments over the year, or to ask for help with the fee, get in touch through the club’s Facebook page.

Travel

Tournaments are mostly in Traverse City, Petoskey and Boyne. Some teams also go to the Midland Invitational in May, about 2½ hours away.

League games (older teams) are at least four double-headers a season (two games on the same day), girls on Saturdays and boys on Sundays. Away games are at the other club’s fields, so some trips take two hours or more each way. Which clubs your team plays depends on its division. Schedules and fields are on the Northern Michigan Soccer Alliance site.

The other clubs in the league: Alpena, Antrim County (Bellaire), Boyne City, Cadillac, Charlevoix, Elk Rapids, Gaylord, Grayling, Harbor Springs, Houghton Lake, Kalkaska, Petoskey and Roscommon.

Driving, overnight stays and canceled games: parents drive their own children to tournaments and games. Your team’s coach can tell you how it works for your team.
